Agustin began playing guitar at the age of nine, and over the years has worked with several bands in his home country and the U.S., gaining experience in live performance, composition, and studio recording. He developed his skills by studying with various private instructors and under the influence of blues, rock, funk, and jazz. In 2021 he travelled to the U.S. as an international student to pursue music studies, an experience that allowed him to collaborate with musicians on a daily basis. In 2025 he graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, earning his bachelor’s degree in Popular and Commercial Music. During his time there, he worked with various artists, studied with local musicians, and expanded his musical perspective through exposure to a wide variety of genres. At Loyola, he discovered music that reshaped his approach to guitar playing and challenged him to pursue new sounds and styles. Agustin has performed in bands spanning genres such as funk, pop, jazz, Latin, and rap. During his undergraduate studies, he was regularly called to record, compose, and perform at various New Orleans venues including Tipitina’s, 30°/-90°, Favela Chic, Balcony Music Club, The Rabbit Hole, and The Howlin’ Wolf, among others. Artists he has worked with include Uncle Jessica Band, Mynthia “The Icon,” Lyle Hutchins, Isabella Cabal, and Neon 3D CD Party. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Music Performance at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, focusing on jazz and music pedagogy while also engaging with academic research and music analysis.
